Returning to the town of Middledip after losing his beloved job, Sky Terran expects a quiet Christmas to adjust to his new life. However, the annual street decoration contest is coming up and this year the residents of Winter Street are determined to win.

As he meddles with the preparations, Sky is quick to fall in love with the quirky, tight-knit community he’s now a part of. Including the extremely handsome Daz, who soon is more than just a friendly neighbor.

But when Daz’ ex shows up, determined to win him back and turns out he’s not the man Sky thought he was, she reminds herself how much it can hurt to let other people into her life and heart allow. When the snow falls, will she and Daz find a way and help earn a holiday victory for Winter Street?

A delightfully festive novel about love, family and the power of forgiveness from Sunday Times bestselling novelist Sue Moorcroft, perfect for fans of Sarah Morgan and Phillipa Ashley.

This is my first encounter with Sue Moorcroft and I was impressed with her style and character development. The lead was a totally likable and believable character and the story was everything you could wish for in a Christmas theme.

Sky Terran has loose ends. He has worked tirelessly for his adoptive brother’s success, and when he falls in love with a woman who wants to make him in her own image, he turns his back on Sky. With no job to focus her strengths, she buys an old house full of potential in the only place she’s felt safe: Middledip. (As the name suggests, the setting is England.)

It is here that she begins to break down the protective walls she put up that prevented her from trusting others and experiencing true friendship and intimacy. As her vigilance begins to fade, she begins to feel part of the community and explores a romantic relationship.

There’s enough emotional drama to keep the book engaging while still maintaining a festive feel-good tone. There are plenty of quirky characters and an attractive love interest neighbor, but the underlying themes are universal: love, loss, betrayal, forgiveness, hope and family. The Christmas spirit is enhanced with descriptions of a neighborhood decorating contest, the beauty of a wintry snowfall, and meeting friends and family at Sky’s new home. Overall, this is a heartwarming Christmas story that is a treat on its own.

A White Christmas on Winter Street by Sue Moorcroft is a wonderfully festive contemporary romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I’ve been a fan of Mrs. Moorcroft for a while, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity to read her new book. I was definitely rewarded!

I’ve always loved his ability to create a beautiful city or town as the perfect backdrop for the entire storyline. His ability to create warm, realistic, and relatable characters is always on target as well.

I like how Sky and Daz have to work together for the good of the village and have had to overcome their internal and external obstacles to find common ground and move forward in terms of themselves and their respective parts in their own relationships. i always like it a Good character development concept.
