I’m not even sure where to start how much I loved this book. I have a soft spot for reformed bad boys, which Jagger Cole delicately writes every time. Jackson Havoc’s character awakens on the page as a larger than life god of music and a hero fighting his own demons and helping burn down Melody’s demons. Melody Blue is a monster hunter/hero combination who not only kills her own monsters, but helps Havoc kill the monsters in his life. The combination of them is electric.
Add to that the raw, realistic, and candid look at what childhood monsters do, and it’s a harrowing struggle for a happy ending. Not to mention the heat – Phew! I can’t recommend it enough and my only benefit is making sure you have enough time to read it in one go!
While this is a bit different than the typical Jagger Coles stories, it’s awesome! Jack was one of the most famous rock stars in the world and he just disappeared. Ten years later, Melody gets a job writing for a music magazine in hopes of finding Jack. These two are on fire! Literally made for each other. Although the story seems simple, Jack and Melody have personal demons to slay. So many things come to light and each one is a blow to their relationship. Such a great and engaging good versus evil read!
