Another punch from Kevin Kwan. I have read your Crazy Rich Asians books and this is the continuation of the story. There are many characters in his books but he does a great job of explaining his life story, his family and the wealth they come from and their shopping stories, crazy money that flies by with no regrets from the buyers when you are worth billions!

Although many Asians, especially women, stereotype, the women in Kevin Kwan’s books have very strong personalities, which I found funny and enjoyed reading. You’ll laugh out loud at the things these characters do in the books, especially the mothers of the young adults, it’s funny how they try to manipulate their lives. Excellent books, you will not be disappointed. And again, I liked the footnotes at the end of each chapter that explain the culture and differences between China and Singapore.

I enjoyed the Crazy Rich Asians follow-up novel. I had a wonderful time reading the book that how Rachel and Nick’s relationship ends. It introduces some fun new characters and I got to see how the richest of the rich live their lives. The protagonist of the book is called Rachel and I love how she stays true to herself in the madness of wealth. Rachel is a simple and down to earth person and people around her can sense that from her.

The new characters in the Crazy Rich Girlfriend book range from semi-normal to crazier than you can imagine. One of the characters in the book is a super famous internet fashion blogger. He has more followers than most rock stars and his fans are obsessed with the clothes he wears and how often he changes his clothes each day.

The fashion blogger has a friend who has a connection to Rachel that we found out about. Nick is a bit more laid back in this book and that’s a good thing because he really didn’t look that good by the end of the last book. Take it from me, he redeems himself. Nick’s mother is also in this book and she may or may not surprise you with her antics. She’s definitely entertaining.

I enjoyed Crazy Rich Girlfriend book very much and was a bit sad when it ended. I’m hoping for the next sequel which could be called Crazy Rich Asian Children. I’m sure there will be skyscraper theater and other crazy indulgences.
