In short, this book felt like a rollercoaster ride with 90-degree drops around every corner. To be honest, the beginning didn’t really excite me because the time jumps felt weird. I wasn’t sure how much time passed/had passed.

I felt upset and it was confusing. But after a while I got the hang of it. As always, the steamy scenes were great! I felt natural, unique, not repetitive or annoying. I love the symbolism of handcuffs. Excellent character development between Ana and Christian, but I feel like the names Mr. Gray and Mrs. Gray have been overused. Anastasia was becoming less of a pretty name to roll on your tongue and was used more and more when she was in trouble, which is a shame.

Jack Hyde’s attack was great: he completely wowed me, but his sabotage was too predictable. I knew it was him since I finished Fifty Shades Darker. But his backstory has gained some steam, so at least that’s a good thing. I absolutely LOVE the complexity of Christian! And Christian’s POV at the end! But (SPOILER) Ana’s pregnancy seemed unrealistic.
