Talia Eden had a crush on MMA fighter Foster Madden, his wrestling name “Iron Fist”. They had made plans to continue their relationship even though she went to medical school. But their love and plans were shattered one day when Foster told her he was getting married. She left and never looked back. Returning to Quincy after medical school, she was counting down the days to the end of her internship at the Quincy Memorial in hopes that when the talented Dr. to be recognized for who she was and not for the girl she grew up with.

Suddenly, Foster shows up with plans to live in Quincy, open a new gym, and prepare for an upcoming fight. His main goal was to try to get Eden back by finally telling her the truth about what happened. She wasn’t very receptive to his attempts, although she wanted to know how she could break his heart and hoped he would forgive her. When they could finally talk, he told her everything and she began to understand. He began to open his heart and a small measure of forgiveness gradually began to grow.

I love the amazing Eden family, the farm, the brothers and sisters and life in Quincy. This story grabbed me, and although I wanted to grab Foster by the neck before hearing the full story, he broke free. A second chance, romance, family, love and drama make this a very enjoyable read.

When I first read the Garnet Flats blurb, I had no doubt that this trope would be something for me.

After a second I realized it was a Devney Perry book and no matter what happened I had faith that whatever the narrative was I would love it and I’m so happy to tell you that I was right Garnet Flats is the story I didn’t know you needed it but you definitely need it!

This is no ordinary second chance romance, this is a once in a lifetime love that never died.

Foster has a few secrets to uncover and a lot to ask for forgiveness, but when he breaks through the hard shell of pain his actions have caused, he and Thalia can finally live happily ever after.

Foster is an absolute dream boyfriend, he made a stupid decision when he was younger, one he never knew would mean losing the only woman he ever loved but the pain he went through , the man he was then and now is all I love in a romantic read.

I also adored Talia, she was hurt beyond belief by Foster’s betrayal, more than she realizes until Foster shows up in her hometown and six years of rage is unleashed. She’s also paid the price for Foster’s poor decisions and won’t just let him in or forgive him, even if it were easier.

I love Devney’s Edens series and it just keeps getting better and with the preview at the end I can feel that the rest of the Eden brothers will continue.
