My Thoughts: I Invited Her In opens with cozy scenes at Ben and Melanie Harrison’s house. They have settled in the suburbs, an hour from London, with Melanie’s 17-year-old son Liam and her children Imogene and Lily. Melanie loves her life, but when she receives the email from her college friend Abigail Curtiz, she is curious and intrigued.

Abigail arrives full of chatter and delicious treats, and the two women recount the years they’ve been apart. Abi’s broken marriage has put her in a sad place, but remembering the good times will help…so she insists.

But soon Ben is anxious for the intruder to leave. He misses the nice time with Mel and the kids and has a bad feeling about Abi’s intentions.

Melanie is still excited for the party to go on…but then things happen that are disturbing and awkward. She soon sees her old friend for who she really is.

What secrets from the past will reveal more about the Abi’s intentions and how will Melanie find the peace and the family time again?

A surprising surprise at the end changed the tone of the story, but even with that bit she couldn’t help but genuinely hate Abigail and her evil plots and plans as she defended Mel’s happy ending.
