The characters, and especially the dialogue, might make you want to book a ticket and meet them in person. It’s Scotland, so there are mysteries.
Reading June Reimagined, you could almost smell the peat fire and taste the single malt scotch. Crane’s story of a young woman finding her true self is compelling and endearing. As always, her dialogue is authentic, as is June’s search for a life that is more than what she left behind. Have a cup of tea, snuggle up under a tartan blanket and enjoy.
This book will have you ready to book a trip to Scotland as soon as you can get away from it long enough! Great characters to imagine on an adventure in Scotland and the back and forth between the main characters is very entertaining. The dialogue is witty and funny, but there are serious underlying plot themes that add depth to this book. You’ll feel like you know where it’s going, but you can’t tell how the author will get the characters there. If he is looking for a good book to get away for a while, I highly recommend reading this one today.
Set in the culturally rich north of Scotland, it features a colorful troupe of skillfully played young bohemians led by June and Lennox, two souls struggling to overcome crippling guilt amid their relentless attraction to one another. An entertaining read with a compelling and satisfying ending. It’s also a good setting for Angus and Amelia’s continued adventures in Thailand (I hope so!). Sign me up for this!
