King’s world is dark and dangerous, filled with sin and corruption as a way of life. But ultimately he has an incessant desire for salvation and peace. The question is now that Ansin has killed him, will he find Mia and Archer in death?

Ansin has secrets just as dark and dangerous as King’s. He is cruel, calculating, and potentially just as powerful, if not more, than King. He has plans for Jenny and he will quit and do nothing to make them happen.

Jeni is still struggling with her divination powers, and is now a single mother to King’s weirdo son, Draco. Will she be forced to trust the one man powerful enough to protect her from her enemies, will she be able to forget what she has made of her, or will he simply use her as a pawn in her own twisted game? Will Jenny find out the truth and is that truth scarier than all the lies? Ultimately, the motivations are hazy and no one is really what they seem.

Mimi Jean Pamfiloff managed to up the ante yet again in the latest installment of King’s Tale. She is a true wordsmith, with so much creativity and imagination that the reader is kept guessing and guessing until the very end. The latter is a fool. Though she provided a fitting ending to a powerful 3,000-year-old Minoan king, she left the door open for a spin-off that could make King look as gentle and cute as a newborn cub.

This entire series has been such a wild ride that I’m sorry it’s coming to an end, but cliché as it sounds, it’s true: all good things must come to an end.

King and Mia finally, I mean really, finally got their HEA! However, the twists and turns involved in getting your HEA was the real ride. Ansin and Jenni, two characters that had such chemistry and devotion to each other, were very well written characters. I’m also glad they got their HEA too. This story captivated me from the beginning and made me both sad and happy that this series has come to an end. I look forward to seeing what Ms. Pamfiloff has in store for the future. Overall I would recommend this book and the series.
