Ok, most of you know that Tanner is my number one on this series. I have already made my claim. You know, the whole cooking and reading in the bathroom thing has really locked him up, but I think he could really go for a Tanner and Maverick sandwich…don’t judge me…I’m just saying. You will feel the same way after reading this book… I read it first, and it also made you realize how wonderful Maverick is. In fact, all the guys in this series will make you swoon and your ovaries will throb… You’re welcome.

Jade is Cybil’s best friend, she is moving away to start a new life and of course to be close to her best friend. Cybil is driving from Seattle to Montana when a snowstorm hits and calls Maverick to get Jade. They have an instant attraction, but both hesitate, and both with good reason. Maverick is patient and slowly making his intentions known.

Safe reading with a sweet and slow story. I love this world and all the characters in it. It’s one of the most romantic series, it may sound strange but for me it’s very true. I just lose myself in this series and let my heart fill. I love all couples, boys and their girls. All our favorite characters from previous books and some new favorites, like the teenagers in the cafeteria, I laughed so hard at their antics. A multiple timeline epilogue that I absolutely swooned over and melted into, and a hea.

Jade makes a big change. She moves to a small mountain town to be closer to her best friend Cybil, leaving her life, her failed business and even bigger failed relationship.

What he didn’t expect on his trip to Montana was meeting Maverick.

Maverick hadn’t expected someone like Jade either. Now he can’t get the redhead out of his head. He thought he had closed the door on relationships forever, but will his feelings for Jade be the key to unlocking that door?

I enjoyed reading it, but also felt that it didn’t live up to the other books in the series. Don’t get me wrong: Jade and Maverick had incredible chemistry and their fast-paced moments were definitely hot. There were hilarious moments between the cast of the ensemble, especially at Everly’s bachelorette party. (And Margret is 100% my goal in life).

Unfortunately, since its predecessors were fascinating and fantastic, this book didn’t reach the high bar they set for it. The pacing wasn’t as solid as Rushed or Risky, and the climax of the story wasn’t as gripping as the others.

Nonetheless, it’s still a funny small-town romantic love story. It can be read on its own, but I highly recommend going back to the beginning of the series to appreciate the small references to the other characters in the book.
