Honestly, I’m not sure where to start with this review. I mean I’ve read pretty much everything Ruby Vincent has posted. And when he warned that this story would be a dark departure from what he usually writes, I thought, ‘Okay, okay. I like dark romance. But this book, folks, I didn’t expect this book! Dark and decadently delicious!
Welcome to the town of Bedlam, a small town in America born of blood, violence and mystery. A city currently ruled by Bedlam Boys: Cairo, Arsenio, Roan, Jacques and Legend. These guys are the elite young adult kings of the city, and while they work to ensure the city thrives and prospers, they make the means by which they achieve those ends anything but upstanding citizens.
Rainey de Souza grew up on her grandmother’s farm. From a young age he knew tragedy. And misfortune would find her again. We meet Lainey two years after a death in the family and a seemingly irreparable break that has left her alone in the world. But there’s a lot more to Rainey’s story than that. The secrets, the lies, and the truth about where the bodies are buried are no longer knowledge only Rainey has.
Ruckus Royale brings together Rainey and the men who want to bend her to her whims and protect her from whatever the outside world wants to do to her. There are many layers of the intrigue, conspiracy, danger, betrayal, adventure and yes, romance. Hot and hot times in the midst of building complicated relationships that you’re not even sure will survive to the end.
This book was so different from what I expected and it satisfied a very dark and wanton part of me that I didn’t even know existed. It was a good trip! I really can’t wait for the next book.
Rainey is a bad hero. The boys bring out their cocky and disobedient side. She always does what she thinks is best. Over time, she wins the boys over to their hearts. Everyone has this unique bond with one another. There is M/M in this RH. ALL guys are alpha holes in this RH. There’s no sweet soul in these guys.
They all have their own kinks too, I don’t know why but I love that. Usually only 1 or 2 of the guys in the RH have any weird issues. They also hate the Ravens and how they treat anyone who has no morals or respect. They get everything and more than they deserve. I also love their friendship and loyalty to Paris. I always love a strong female friendship.
Every time I thought I figured out who I thought the card man was, I was wrong, because the plot and twist of this story makes you question everything you know. Also, each book’s cliffhanger leaves you open-mouthed. I love writing Ruby Vincent and how I never know where the story is going to go right. I can’t wait for the 3 book to come out!
