If you’re tired of politics or Jason Bourne-style action thrillers, The Return is a delightful retreat into the lives of well-defined, totally believable people confronting their intersecting lives and heading toward the end you know about that you want it. . Highly recommended.

Nicholas Sparks has certainly mastered weaving a tapestry of history over the years. Here he has done it again! Set in Carolina, the main character comes from a Navy background, and you’d think it’s just another story about love, loss, acceptance, rejection, doing the right thing! It is, and yet it is so much more!!!

In the story you will learn a lot about PTSD, aplastic anemia (sp?), bees, honey and how honey differs from each other. You’ll meet real characters, travel through small town life, climb a creek to see juvenile alligators and catch a glimpse of eagles! His vivid descriptions make you feel the pouring rain, experience the sweltering heat that makes your clothes stick to your body, and even smell the flowers on the main character’s grandfather’s property!

I couldn’t put it down… The story will make you cry, it will make you laugh, it will guide you in finding answers in more than one story, and it will leave you with a sense of wonder, satisfaction and joy mediate through! Enjoy!
