Candice is my pick for reverse harems, she never disappoints and she didn’t this time either. I love Saylor and her story, I love her strength and her ability to overcome life’s tragedies. The men in her life are also impressive. Rough and tough on the outside, but the sticky cores they try to hide are the best.

This story has it all, a little tension, a lot of emotion and so much heat that you could burn yourself. I love this series, don’t let the number of books put you off, grab them all and immerse yourself in this world of bikers and their strong women. Just read and enjoy!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first saw the forthcoming release of this book, but whatever it was, it wasn’t what I had just read.

Throne of Lies is a much darker story… no, I’ll say hard… Throne of Lies is a much heavier story than the previous six books. The entire premise is the result of a forced sexual encounter with a minor, the result of which is her currently six-year-old daughter.

Well, before you tangle your panties, there are ABSOLUTELY no non-consensual sexual acts in this story. However, it frankly deals with the memories, flashbacks, and panic attacks associated with being a survivor of such a heinous act. I want to be very clear: this is not a book where you will find relationships that are not cheated or coerced or anything else. It’s the story of an incredible survivor who will never give up while finding even more reasons to keep going.

Saylor is one of the strongest heroines of this series. She’s not as quirky as Luna or as sarcastic as Reign. She has a unique style which is one of the hallmarks of an amazing author who we know is Candice. (Damn, I might be willing to have her baby or offer my firstborn because I love this woman’s writing so much…is that too deep into stalker territory?…sorry ?). The boys are great too. They’re unconventional bikers in a way, and their approach isn’t always what you’d expect. There’s also quite a lot of Bates in this one, which is probably my favorite character on the show.

As always, Candice turned up the heat and you can expect those crooked panties from before to get wet.

Overall it wasn’t the good story I’m used to in the world of Carnage. It stirred up feelings I wasn’t prepared for, and that’s incredibly rare. For a heavier topical book, however, this one hit a lot of my buttons and I’ll definitely do a more complete, slower read now that I’ve quenched my thirst for a book I couldn’t put down.

This is book 7 in the Underrated series. Each book in the series focuses on different characters, but they’re tied together in the same world, so I think it’s best if you’ve read the other books before diving into this one.

The Throne of Lies focuses on Saylor and his boys. Saylor is one of my favorite FMCs from this series. She has been through hell and still gets many things, but she is strong and fiercely protective. The guys in this book are something else and their harem didn’t turn out exactly how I envisioned it, but it was a great twist so I won’t spoil it for anyone. I also loved seeing Reign, Saint, Bates and Priest in this book. Bates made me laugh many times throughout the book, but I also liked the softer side of him that we see.

This book is definitely one of the best books I’ve read in 2022, which is no surprise as it’s one of my favorite series. I admit that this book was a rollercoaster of emotions that I couldn’t get off. I laughed, I cried, I got really angry, and then I cried some more. Be sure to clear up your day when you start this book because you won’t be able to put it down! Oh, and get your tissues ready. I love this show and all the characters Wright creates in this world. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of these books!
