Trust Laramie Briscoe to deliver compelling characters in a well constructed world that I keep wanting to revisit. Carly Phillips, NY Times bestselling author.

The nurse and the hot cop

gray archer

Being the new officer in the Laurel Springs Police Department has been a blessing. I was treated like family from the moment I started my first shift. It’s what I’ve wanted since I left home when I was eighteen. Life is going great, especially when I meet Alisa, a registered nurse at Laurel Springs Medical. She’s cheeky, but I suspect she’s hiding a flaw that not many get to see.

I want to see it, I want to know everything about her. At a time when she desperately needs someone, I’m here for her.

And I’m not leaving until she asks me to.

Alisa Hilligan

I’ve always been a transplant looking for a home. I thought I found it in Calvert City, instead it’s the neighboring town of Laurel Springs.

Since I’ve been here, I’ve met the new sexy cop Archer. It makes me want everything I shouldn’t.

But when the reason I left Calvert City comes back with a vengeance; I’ll need it more than I ever thought.

And he’ll show he’s here for the long haul, something no one has had before.

Archer and Alissa

He came to Laurel Springs to get out of a situation. Here she found friends, a home, a job and maybe even a man she could trust. But could you ever trust a cop?

Archer loved his job, even though he was the new guy. But he knew the others and was proud to be in the force. It wasn’t a bonding type until he met Alissa. It might take some time, but he had plans to get closer.

Things were going well until they stopped. Her past came back to haunt her. Archer had promised to protect her. would i make it

It’s a heartwarming story with lots of heat, great characters, some intrigue and a couple who want to meet for life. I always look forward to this series and love it when characters from older stories come up like this. A short read that you will enjoy without spending a lot of time.

The dedicated workers are the backbone of the Laurel Springs community, and nobody writes a better romance about them than Laramie Briscoe.
Archer is the newest member of the LSERT fraternity. He has a crush on newly hired nurse Alisa. She, on the other hand, is fascinated by the sexy policeman, but is somewhat hesitant to start a relationship with him.

If you are a fan of the author, some of LSERT’s most popular characters appear in the book. They embody the spirit of family unity and also provide positive relationship models for Archer and Alisa, who come from broken families. The group’s closeness and camaraderie surrounds the couple, helping them to see that the past can be overcome and a future can be transformed. This book is also about witnessing the whistleblower’s abuse of power and repercussions. Archer is the seventh book in the Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team series and is a great addition to the collection.

New Laurel Springs residents Archer and Alisa are a perfect match. They both came to Laurel Springse for a change. Alisa was looking for a place to live and Archer was trying to build a life away from his parents. After receiving incomplete hands, you both need to learn to trust a relationship and each other.

It takes time and some gentle nudges from other LSERT residents, but the trust is fragile and they manage to build a solid foundation. There is a lot of action in this novel as Alisa’s past returns to find her in Laurel Springs. It’s a great read with a happy ending HEA. There’s also a surprising epilogue leading into a sequel starring another popular Moonshine Task Force member, Menace.
