Torquil MacLeod was a copywriter for 36 years. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and now lives in the North West of England with his wife Susan. The idea for her detective inspector in Malmö, Inspector Anita Sundström, came to her after the eldest of her two children moved to southern Sweden in 2000. Her first book was MEET ME IN MALMÖ. There are now nine MALMÖ MYSTERIES novels and one novella in the series.
