Irresistible Trouble is the fourth book in the Copper Valley Fireballs series, and yes, this is Cooper’s novel, and it happens to be a second chance romance. What what?! Yes, the guy who has appeared in many other books with a reputation for getting his way with the ladies has actually caught feelings in the past.
He’s always made it clear that he loves three things: his family, his team, and baseball. But eight years ago there was this girl and he was in love. But both were on the cusp of promising careers: 22-year-old Cooper as part of the Fireballs and 19-year-old Waverly Sweet as a singer and performer. At the time he was considered unworthy of her. Eight years later, he may be a baseball star, but she’s a music superstar. This time, however, Cooper is ready to prove that Waverly is worth fighting for.
GAH! It must be repeated: Cooper. Rock! It was both irresistible and the best kind of trouble, totally living up to the book’s title. Before I read Irresistible Trouble, Hayes Rutherford (The Last Eligible Billionaire) was my reigning Pippa Grant hero of all heroes; Now Cooper shares that title with Hayes, and rightly so.
And hey, Waverly wasn’t far behind either. I liked seeing her defend herself more and more. Both Cooper and Waverly had so much more to offer, and I appreciated that they had a lot of character development.
I absolutely adored these two and their story filled my heart. Of course, there have been cameos from some of Grant’s other established couples, and not just those from the Copper Valley Fireballs series. And can I say that Diego Estévez was my favorite supporting character? Too sweet for words, especially when it came to his admiration for Waverly and his awe for Mr. Cooper. Irresistible Trouble was just a joy to read.
Cooper rock baby!!! We’ve been waiting for Cooper’s story since he first appeared in Pippaverse, and boy was it worth the wait! Pippa Grant’s Irresistible Trouble is a second-chance romantic sports comedy. Cooper Rock is really the Copper Valley Fireballs’ most dedicated player, both on and the off the field. He’s always been a womanizer, the definition of a player, but Waverly Sweet was a curveball he never saw coming. He slipped through that eight years ago, but he won’t let that happen this time, no matter what he has to give up.
After so many years at the top, Waverly Sweet, popular music’s adored princess, realizes that her entire life has been dictated by her career. she needs more Eight years ago she thought she had found the man of her dreams and now he’s back.
With his zest for life, can Cooper be just what Waverly needs, or is it still out of his league? Can the ultimate player really be tamed? Can Cooper and Waverly finally find the happy ending that came about eight years ago?
Irresistible Trouble can be read on its own but is the fourth book in the Copper Valley Fireballs series. Of course, we recommend that you read ALL of Pippa’s books, as they are extremely entertaining and edgy. Keep an eye out for guest appearances from Cooper and Waverly!
As always, Pippa gave us a hero who is absolutely irresistible, stunning and impossible not to fall in love with, while giving us a strong heroine who can bring him to his knees. For us, Pippa is a one-click auto author. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next!
