Just unbelievable. Maggie Moves On is a new favorite! 6 stars! The characters, the attention to detail, the building, the house and even the dog. There were so many incredible moments full of so much emotion. I laughed, cried, passed out and fell madly in love with Maggie and Silas. This story was perfection.

Maggie and Silas really were the best. I loved Silas and his flirtatious nature straight away, he was so charming and sweet from the start. This man melted me! He loved Maggie and her commanding attitude and everything she had achieved and overcome. I understood what she wanted and the conflict it caused since Silas was after her.

They had the undeniable chemistry with a playful banter that was quite sexy and fun. There was an excellent balance of humor and warmth (!!!!) I loved that they opened up, learned their story and were vulnerable. There were so many wonderful scenes between these two that made me laugh and others that were filled with emotion. It was a very complete story from start to finish.

I think he loved the supporting characters as much as Maggie and Silas did. I wish I could mention each of them and how important and significant they were. I loved how their stories and story fit into the overall plot and the wit and intelligence they brought to the table. I loved the family Silas and Maggie started with them, the friends they made and brought into the herd, even the animals, it was everything.

I also really enjoyed Silas’ family and all the different dynamics that played out. There were so many moments that fulfilled me and made my heart happy. As well as the romance, there is a beautiful story about the house itself and the original owners who have added a layer of mystery to it all. I loved all the clues and clues and connection points along the way that added a very special layer to the story that makes it even more satisfying.

I make no secret that Lucy Score is one of my favorite authors. I feel like she weaves magic into her stories, brings them to life and makes my world a little brighter. That is 100% the case with this book. It was an incredibly well developed and detailed story with phenomenal construction and I had a hard time putting down my Kindle and doing anything. He couldn’t wait to find out what would gping to happen next.

Maggie Moves On was extremely entertaining with laugh out loud moments, but it was also full of emotion, heart and healing…plus a touch of adventure!

That’s one of the reasons I have great faith in Lucy Score, she always gives me a good and uplifting story. I’ll come straight out and say this is for the fans of Nora Roberts, the ones who grew up reading her idyllic yet gripping stories that were so rich in community and work ethic and found a family like they are. in romance. Also meet secondary romances. I, I mean me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very romantic and sexier than my 90’s and 2000’s reads, but it’s firmly rooted in the book’s other themes; the home remodeling and landscaping and the town of Kinship which I fell head over heels in love with.

Another thing the author has a knack for is falling in love with these cute little towns when I live in one myself, and I know it’s not that easy to do something like that in a tight-knit place like this to build charming. BRB will be meeting up with a group of townsfolk so they can adopt me as part of their family and introduce me to the local hottie. Just kidding, I’m a hermit cardholder.

Silas, our flirtatious charmer, falls head over heels in love the moment he sees our very capable heroine, Maggie, and pursues her relentlessly but respectfully. In a way, this is instant, slow-burn love, and I was there. A shockingly efficient workaholic, Maggie is as amazing at what she does as she is at getting past her projects and problems. She may have plans to move on to her next big project after this last ambitious venture, but Sy and Kinship have different ideas.

Our Silas, with his magnificent Taurus energy, works hard and plays hard, knows the value of personal hygiene and pauses to smell the roses, tenacious where it counts, relaxed but with a fiery temper when finally provoked , plant dad, dog dad and just plain dad. Wait, let me pass out a little. I’ll be honest, I didn’t think I’d be influenced by a guy from Idaho, but our hot landscaper had me with his darlins and his devotion to Maggie. And it has the best of modern families. They are opposites, inextricably linked.

Speaking of families, I want to list each of the characters we’ve met and loved and their various romantic and non-romantic relationships and the roles they played in making the book what it is, but that would be it and I do not know . I don’t think we have time for that. I will, however, mention Maggie’s best friend Dean and their little love story. fainting. Score me writes the best best friends I want to steal from myself. Even the best brothers.

And the greatest parents. And lovable grumpy old men and just as lovable silly teenagers. And of course pets. Admittedly, she does everything right and it’s nothing short of a marvel to do such beautiful character work in around 400 pages while also writing a satisfying love and family drama with a scavenger hunt.

Just when you’re thinking I’m running out of superlatives, I’ll jump right into talking about what’s probably my favorite part of the book, the last 25% or so. It was supposed to be 4-4.5 star book by then, but thanks to some alchemical magic that happened, everything worked out so well in the last act of the book that I couldn’t even dream of putting it under 5 evaluate.

All the signs and the little breadcrumbs that converged in full circle moments that filled my heart with joy and wonder. There really is so much love in this book that I wanted to bathe in it like a warm elixir for clear skin and immortal youth. Sue me, I’m an idiot, and Mrs. Score taught me it’s okay to be an idiot sometimes.
