But as Deborah fights for the freedom of her country, she must face the mystery of who she is and, ultimately, a surprising love she can’t deny.

WOW… there’s nothing better than finishing a book and wanting to start over. I tried hard to go slow but once I stopped nothing could make me put it down, I read through tears and honestly just thinking about A Girl Called Sampson book brings tears to my eyes, it’s just powerful.

Deborah was so fierce and brave and loyal, but despite all her experiences, she was still downright feminine and I loved that. Even though she had to hide who she was, she just let him appreciate everything that makes a man, a man and a woman, a woman. I loved how Deborah’s faith made her so strong, the writing and the way she’s woven into her story is so poetic and relevant to what was going on and the things and people she faced on her journey. she. She has the strength, the courage and the perseverance that she aspired to.

John is so honorable and authoritative that it’s hard not to love him. I loved how we got to know him and his thoughts and feelings through the letters, and then when we met him in person, we already know a lot about his character.

You can’t help but be persuaded by this story and become a better person. I love historical novels because I feel like it’s a great way to learn what those who came before us sacrificed. This book made me delve into the history and people who lived during the time of the revolution.

My life would be lost without Amy Harmon’s words and stories: they move me, make me grow and want to learn. I have wanted to read this book again, just continuing with my highlights makes me cry. It is truly one of the best books Amy has ever written.
