Tiernan is the daughter of a well-known and popular celebrity couple. Their love story is something that people aspire to one day, they are very devoted to each other. So much so that after his tragic death, people are mourning the loss it means to the film industry. It’s a shame that their love between the two was exclusive and never extended to their only son, Tiernan.

Tiernan was a lifelong spectator of hers, loving her but she was never the recipient of hers. Raised by nannies and her mother’s personal assistant, she felt insignificant and uncomfortable with her parents for the 17 years of her life. A symbolic child for appearances only. Losing her doesn’t feel like a big loss at all, she has always felt alone and now she really is. Ella until she receives an unexpected phone call that changes everything.

“I’m not used to people,” she whispered. “You don’t talk to me at home” “Nobody talks to me.”

Her father’s stepbrother addresses her as the only surviving relative of her parents. Emma is not yet 18 years old and has to live with an appointed guardian. Uncle Jake offers her the opportunity to come and stay with him and his children in the mountains of Colorado. Realizing that he has nothing to lose and maybe something to gain, he agrees and takes the next flight there.

It’s been a long time since a woman has lived in this house, so it’s a big adjustment for everyone. Tiernan is reluctant to open up or even speak to her uncle and cousins Noah and Kaleb, but she quickly accepts life in the country and genuinely enjoys taking care of all the animals.

She has an interesting first encounter with Kaleb, which leaves a lasting impression on her, but plans to stay away from him as much as possible. Tiernan is now part of a family, sharing meals, working together, doing chores, learning new things and immersed in mountain life. She has never been happier.

We are all acclimatizing. We learn, we solve, we approve; not that anything is really getting easier or harder. We’re just getting better at shooting. I’m not sure if these men will be different from me, but I will be different from them. I like this.’

Living in a house with three men is an eye opening experience, there is no shortage of local women who happily help themselves every night and masturbate to men’s sexual needs. Tiernan is first repelled, then intrigued and disturbingly excited. You find yourself craving things you know little about, and eventually you reach the point of no return. Spending the winter in a snowy cabin with three guys sounds cliche, but it becomes Tiernan’s sexual awakening.

“Something about this house, these people, gives credibility to what I always knew I needed every day. I don’t have sex with any boy. Just one place. Any place or someone that feels like home.”

This story may test your moral compass a bit, but the overall story was about sympathy, loyalty and family. I couldn’t put this book down!

Penelope never ceases to amaze me with her unique stories and impeccable writing, and this book is no different. He created an EPIC offbeat romance unlike anything I’ve read before and he just couldn’t put it down. This story is about 4 lost and broken souls and their journey to healing. This isn’t for everyone, but if you’re willing to take a chance, you won’t be disappointed.

“We don’t need light, we need fire; It’s not the gentle rain, it’s the thunder. We need the storm, the hurricane, and the earthquake.” – Frederick Douglass

This Credence book is hard to pin down as one thing because it has layers upon layers. Credence story is so unique and Penelope told it so well that it took me a few days to understand what I was reading. All characters are damaged in some way. And they handle it in their own way, but what you witness is the process through which they slowly heal from their broken spots. Credence book is emotional and even difficult to read at times, but each of its journeys is necessary and worth the journey.

“Your voice is deep, but sfeels like she’s a little scared of me, but nothing more.”

The development of each character and their individual personalities really tie this story together effortlessly. Penelope has this way of writing that completely immerses you in her stories until you lose yourself. And this story pulls you in from the first chapter and as you progress you become caught up in the twists and turns that continue to keep you perched on the edge of your seat waiting to see what she will do next.

Credence book is a non-stop journey from start to finish. peep to end Every new development and every moment she wrote completely captivates you. She had to know what was going to happen, she angrily forced me to turn the pages to see what she was going to do next.

“Sorry. The need to intervene. After the sadness, the anger was my constant companion as a kid. And then the anger was gone and there was nothing left.”

I love stories that are different and take you out of your comfort zone. For me, such stories are my crack and I never get tired of them. This is unlike anything I’ve ever read and I didn’t want it to end, sadly of course it did. But not without taking me on a journey I’ll find hard to forget. Penelope opened my soul with this book and slowly and carefully put it back together with her words, but she put it back together with a part of this book that is embedded in my marrow.

“I swallow hard. Why would he put a dream catcher there? But he is beautiful. Did he make it himself? Then something else occurs to me and I laugh. but my waist is not that small.” Noah leans forward and whispers, “But your dolls are.”

I’m so grateful he dared this book because I couldn’t imagine not having it. I recommend writers who write what they want to write, knowing that not everyone will like their story. These books are what we need, if they don’t write these stories, who will? Is this book for everyone? Absolutely not. But is it definitely worth the risk? Yes! All you have to do is keep an open mind and embrace this amazing world that Penelope has created.

Penelope has once again taken me on a crazy emotional and mental journey. I had many ups and downs with this book. There were times I reread sections because it got my heart pumping, and then there were times I wanted to throw it across the room!

Let’s start with the plot first. Furious! He wasn’t quite sure where this story was going, other than that Tiernan needed some more male attention! Which is clearly required! I liked that she was the daughter of two movie stars and that she felt so alone. But… what girl runs away to be with a boy claiming to be her uncle in order to live? Especially someone you’ve never met? I thought, “This girl is as stupid as a box full of bricks!” Who does that?? So sleep with everyone? When she said, “Did you just think I was jumping from one bed to another bed?” I sat there nodding my head. “HM Yes!”

Tiernan: Starved for affection, I really can’t decide (how many times has she said “I shouldn’t do that” and then turned around and done it? She has a crush on her uncle, which made me feel like Jake…her was so sweet and wanted to know what it’s like to have parents…it’s true most parents don’t sleep with their kids but that’s Mrs Douglas to you…and all the crazy stuff about it!but not really in love… .pretty friendly and later falls in love with her abusive older cousin.

Jake: Poor guy’s still dealing with a broken heart from years ago and a shitty wife. He’s also lonely for affection and has a soft spot for Tiernan… and sometimes it lasts! I think he wants Tiernan to feel love and a place in this world. He needed a little more control over his kids, but as a father, as a son, I guess…literally!

Noah: Noah is so lonely and bored. I think he had the best connection with Tiernan and could absolutely envision the two together. I struggled with her not choosing him because he showed her the most affection, understanding and love. He has always helped her, taken care of her and accepted her. I hope there will be a happy ending one day.

Caleb: Caleb, Caleb, Caleb… where do I start? You, sir, are crazy! Great rapist mood! You don’t really care that you’ve had a major trauma in your life. No means no and high means high! Maybe it was the way you were raised or a lack of knowledge, but I didn’t like this character up to 80%. I get that he’s supposed to be a very misunderstood character, but it was hard to want to root for him when he really sucked! Eventually he begins to turn things around. I felt a connection to him the moment “my” garage furniture was destroyed.

I ended up wanting to punch Tiernan in her face after Kaleb basically attacks her and she walks up to him like everything is okay. If it just takes someone to talk to you to make everything better than… well… I don’t even know!
