What a sweet, passionate and captivating story. It’s so well written with great characters and world building that you wish you could be there and people watch. Also, to get a cup of coffee and Grumpy Orc scones.

Grondar is the owner of the bakery and he loves to experiment. A bad relationship made him distrust women. Especially human women. He is an orc. Elara, a human, has just gotten out of a relationship and decides to commit to a new job in a new city. What a great decision!
If you like cute stories filled with humor, steam, growth, steam, and HEA, this is for you.

This is definitely a happy read with some angst and of course a beautiful sexy love story. Elara and Grondar’s relationship is heated to say the least, sometimes not in a good way. If you have an overprotective grandmother I think she steals the show. She is cheeky and open. The insinuations that pour from her mouth are both funny and shocking. Grondar is dough in the hands of his grandmother and now in Elaras or maybe cake dough.

This story tickled me! I love Elara’s upbeat personality, the joy of hers in this unusual little town. Her marketing skills are top notch and her coffee shop is a huge success. I adore the grumpy Grondar! Her first encounters with Elara could be better, but that is changing very quickly. He really is a great teddy bear under all the grudges. The author’s description of life in a small town is perfect. I love it! This is one sweet Valentine’s Day gift!
