I have read all the Carpathian books and always look forward to the new one. These books have become a fascinating world of sensuality and danger. Dark Whisper is another harrowing adventure set in the Carpathian world.

Afansiv Belan or “Siv” is another sexy dark alpha male who stole my heart. Siv was an amazing character. Vasilisa Sidkorolyavolkva was trained from her birth to fight against the evil that she wants her species to become extinct. Vasilisa always knows that she carries the other half of a Carpathian male’s soul. Vasilisa is also something “more”. Siv and Vasilisa’s dynamic has much more give and take than that of many Carpathian colleagues. The couple respects each other’s abilities.

He loved both Siv and Vasilisa. Their connection felt unique. Siv and Vasilisa were very good couples and Siv, being an old lady, did an admirable job of letting Vasilisa be herself. I loved the development of the couple’s relationship and their journey was impressive.

The passionate connection was palpable. About seventy percent of this book is battles and action. I loved it, but sometimes I felt like the paranormal overshadowed the romance. I would have liked more sensual and personal moments between the couple to be added to the plot. That is a personal preference.

This book was a page turner. It was fight after fight. I loved seeing some of the fan-favorite couples from previous books helping out Siv and Vasilisa. Dark Whisper is the 36 book in the Carpathian series. I recommend reading these books in order, as they complement each other. Christine Feehan proved with this book why she is the queen of paranormal romance!

This book is edgy, dark and sexy. This was a page turner that will keep you awake for a long time! I didn’t want this amazing journey to end. Dark Whisper is another jewel in the crown of the Carpathian series. This saga of epic books creates a world that I want to revisit again and again. I look forward to the next book!
