Dax and Wren’s terrifying story has a few surprises that you may not see coming, but will ultimately reward your patience. He has all the feelings. By my count, there are five moments to laugh and six to cry. The pair have incredibly strong chemistry and joke around really well, but it’s actually a slow process that takes some time to develop.

Sometimes all is lost, but Dax and Wren eventually find their way. The story is wonderfully written. attracts you The plot is a bit complex. There are a number of stories that unfold. The characters are carefully crafted and three-dimensional. They feel quite real. I really loved her despite the drama. The story is told in the first person. The POV alternates between Dax and Wren.

I am absolutely speechless. Loved loved loved Moody. It was absolutely phenomenal. The story was everything and more that I expected from Penelope Story. The story was absolutely brilliant, it was moving and heartbreaking at the same time. Penelope wrote Wren and Dax’s emotions so eloquently that you can’t help but feel every emotion with them.

It’s a charming second chance, a simmering forbidden romance with friends for lovers and the twist she didn’t expect. I literally savored every word and enjoyed the story. Wren is a traveling masseuse and knows Dax Moody as her client. I don’t want to spoil anything, but from the moment these two meet their chemistry, the connection and banter is perfect. If I can say that Dax has become my favorite hero in Penelope’s story. It was definitely a complete package. Like any Penelope Ward story, this one is no different, capturing her attention and drawing you in with its gripping plot, relatable characters, and poetic dialogue.

“Now I know that I have the ability to love someone in a way I never thought possible. I now truly understand that love is pure, organic and not something you can control. It has nothing to do with location, life circumstances, compatibility or if you think someone is right for you. love is easy AND there’s nothing more powerful. It doesn’t matter where you are or what you’re doing while you’re with that person.”

I couldn’t put the book down when I started, I had so many questions in my head that I wanted to know more about the plot and the characters. Trust me, once you start you won’t be able to put it down, it’s addictive and irresistible. The story was captivating, full of feelings and definitely thought provoking. This is one of the best books I have read in 2022. I highly recommend this book.

Wren’s life as a freelance masseuse has taken her to some interesting places and given her the opportunity to meet interesting people. She then meets her withdrawn, moody but lovable prospective client, and her world goes haywire. Her first meeting doesn’t go like her normal dating. Then the next one doesn’t go like a normal date would.

What happens is that Wren and Moody (Dax) form a connection that neither of them expected. But he is closed for a reason, so their connection must remain one that is full of longing and persistence, but never on fire. Until the time comes and the ramifications are as sad as you’d expect. Wren always knew that this forbidden connection with this beautiful and sad man would end in heartbreak. Now she has the rest of her life to forget him. No problem…

Phew, she talks about a slow burn with excitement! The heat between Wren and Dax had burned since their first meeting. I felt their longing for each other and their pain when their true connection was revealed, the reason they couldn’t be together got in the way of the feelings they obviously both had…damn, but it was heartbreaking. Moody has the heart I’ve always come to expect from this author, all the warmth in true slow-burn style, and in essence an absolutely beautiful connection between two people who deserve to be happy and in love with no obstacles in their way. .
