This story had so many aspects that it was impossible to put it down. The first is the relationship between Raven and her mother, Rachel. It was beyond toxic. And in many ways, it really felt like Raven was more mature than Rachel. Also, Rachel and Jett’s relationship was wrong on MANY levels. This woman wouldn’t know how to love something even if she slapped her in the face. So here is the relationship between Raven and Maria. She is so protective of this girl and seeing how Maria acts around Jett is hilarious! Then there’s the relationship he had with Brody and Cher! Talk about some epic friends, ride or die!

Which brings me to Raven and Jett’s relationship…Well… it was HOT AF! And how complicated! And whatever he thought he would successfully chase away from her, he got super jealous and made up another excuse for why he had to keep secretly dating her. While I would never condone cheating… I can see why Raven would have absolutely NO fault. The humiliation seemed a bit outrageous on a monetary level, but the meaning behind each gift was absolutely swooning!

To say I’m so in love with this story is an understatement! The forbidden nature, the super hot scenes and then the fear of the reason for the forbidden nature…UGH! All my kryptonite! And for Kelly, there were even a favorite or two!

This book deserves all the hot stars!! It burned my iPad with the amount of vapor it contained! Seriously, this is one of the hottest books I’ve read this year!

This book is taboo, not only because of the age difference, but also because Jett is engaged to Raven’s mother. I seriously devoured this book in one go. There was no chance he would give it up until it was finished.

Jett intrigued me from the start and delved deeper into him and what makes him tick was everything. I didn’t know I needed it! I loved every part of it. And Raven did her best, she seemed sweet and innocent, but she had grit and was just what Jett needed!

This is a book about a forbidden mother’s fiancé that is part of the Blurred Lines series. And let me tell you there’s a spice scene that crosses more than a blurry line. They fucking deleted the line and said eff. ?

This was a quick and fun read that will also tease you. Jett Powers is a man who takes what he wants, but seems reluctant to take Raven. I will say that Raven and her mother’s relationship was more like High School Rivals drama (which is sad, I know). I kept having to remind myself that Raven is only 19 and the way she reacted to things was dramatic, but then again, she’s young. I don’t blame her.

If you’re looking for a zesty forbidden read, here it is. From the first to the last scene, Mr. Powers is obnoxious and doesn’t disappoint.

Jett Powers is a man who loves control and is certainly in control of everything he has worked and reigns for. That’s how he is with everything in his life. A lawyer who works hard and plays even harder and now sees a new temptation. A temptation in the form of Raven, her fiancé’s nineteen-year-old daughter.

The only reason he thinks he needs to get married is because he’s almost forty and his fiancé Rachel is the perfect cutie for him and I would say I have to agree because I don’t know what he saw in her Has. . She is a woman working to climb the social ladder, most of her don’t even read and she is very selfish. But he didn’t care that he didn’t really love her and knew she got his money and connections for being his sweet arm and basically using him too.

She doesn’t really care where he goes, what he does, or who, but maybe she will when she finds out he’s very into her daughter Raven. Probably not because she’s his daughter, just because she’s younger and more attractive. Poor Rachel certainly didn’t win in the education department and I really felt sorry for her, but I also loved her. She’s sweet and innocent and really goes over her head with Jett. Their attraction to each other is so much more than a physical attraction and I loved watching them read the book.

I know there’s an age difference here and it’s never nice to love your mother’s husband, but I loved them together. Will they be able to have the happy ending they both deserve and want? Well it is a must read and I must say this book is impossible to put down. You will fall in love so much with Daddy Powers and the story he and Raven have to tell.
