- There are no heroes in this story. Instead, we get a mob story with unapologetic villains. No embellishment of the world and the elements that compose it. I really appreciated this unique take, even as the leads continued with lines that were scared and disgusting.
- Melody is a beast! She is a boss herself. God help anyone he believes in the myth of the weaker sex.
- I love attractive redheads, and Liam definitely fits the bill. After a blast, I also liked the adaptability of him in relation to Melody’s prickly personality.
- Despite his evil avatar, his romance continued to burn brightly.
- Despite being so dark, it kept the feel of a fun adventure throughout.
- The supporting characters were interesting, and I can’t wait to read other books that feature them without really feeling like stock.
Bad:
- He loved her, but he could definitely see people who prefer soft or cheesy heroines running away screaming “Bloody Melody”.
- Sometimes the scenario went to the sides of the suspension of beliefs.
- Dark-themed texts can also be a tough sell for readers who need morality plays.
