Fed up with the constant meddling, Ryleigh takes action. Enter Ryker, the bad boy of the town. Ryker has had a crush on Ryleigh for quite some time. Things start to heat up when Ryleigh decides to take matters into her own hands and pretends to be in a relationship with Ryker.
Ryker and Ryleigh’s chemistry is undeniable. Your journey is amazing and relatable. I couldn’t put the book down. I kept saying one more chapter until I finished. It captivated me from the first page. I fell in love with her story. I was emotionally drawn to the story and Ryleigh and Ryker. I felt like I was observing everything instead of reading a book. I laughed and irritated and had candid moments. Save me has everything that makes a great book great.

At this point in the series, the Donovan family is very close to my heart. Okay, honestly, I had my reservations about Mama Donovan, but Ryleigh and Ryker’s romance rivals her, and let’s just say it’s possible to teach an old dog a few new tricks.
Ryleigh Donovan’s mother is always on her case to this day, going as far as ambushing Ryleigh with blind dates when Raleigh shows up at her family’s pub. Understandably, Ryleigh has had enough, and with some persuasion from the town’s bad boy, Ryker, agrees to pretend to date him in order to get her mother to stop her matchmaking shenanigans.
Aside from Ryker, there’s nothing wrong with his feelings for Ryleigh. He’s been trying to get his attention for months and he always gets shot dead. And when things get serious for Ryleigh, she’s not quite sure what to do about it.
Once again, Chase delivers a sweet romance filled with humor, chemistry, and heart. I loved meeting Ryker, discovering his secrets and finding out what’s behind them. The only thing that bothered me was the way Ryleigh treated Ryker throughout the story. Since she is the voice of reason in her family, it would have been more believable to see a gradual improvement in her behavior throughout the story rather than a rapid change at the end.
Small point, but I realize that character development and growth is important to many readers. Despite that, I really loved this story and think it’s a great addition to the series. Start here or start all over and read, but don’t miss out on this amazing series set in the small town of Laurel Bay!
