Devney Perry’s The Coopersmith Farmhouse drew so much attention and I can tell you it was all justified. I was quickly intrigued by the author’s choice of titles, but it wasn’t until my best friend read the series and fell head over heels in love with her that I decided to start my 2018 reading with these books.

Georgia Ellars inherited a country house from Ben Coopersmith, who became a father figure to both her and their daughter Rowen. Gigi packs up all her stuff and heads to the small town of Prescott, Montana. Living in Prescott is everything she could have wished for… But the quaint little town soon becomes the epicenter of crime and mystery.

When Gigi encounters Jess Clearly, she is instantly hit by Cupid’s bow. The attraction is immediate, but Jess Cleary doesn’t play well at first. He’s a complete idiot and an idiot while fighting his feelings for Gigi. As the story progresses, we see that Jess is sweet and caring. An overly bossy alpha, but sweet and caring, and someone who would do anything to take care of his girls.

Gigi and Jess’ relationship quickly blossoms, but her main priority is her Roe, which makes her wary at first as she must learn to overcome her insecurities thanks to the act her daughter’s birth father did for her.

This book was a cross between epic! From the heartwarming moments, sexy timing, suspense and great supporting characters that set the backdrop for the rest of the books in the series, and of course the passion and comedic banter between Jess and Gigi, you can’t help but LEAVE! And let’s not forget that perfect epilogue!!

Devney Perry impressed me with The Coppersmith Farmhouse and gave me a feel for the series that will no doubt only get better. Now there is no stopping. I was caught in Perry’s web, never to be released.

Gigi and her little daughter Rowan move to a small town to start over. A new life in a new city. A dear friend gave them a country house. When he arrives, he meets the hot and totally insane local sheriff.

This book totally blew me away! It was fantastic! I’m a fan of the small town setting, this is my favorite. Throw in a hot-tempered, hot-tempered sheriff and you totally got me!

I loved Gigi. She had her insecurities and doubts, the kind I think many women in her situation would have. She stood up for herself and also wasn’t afraid to voice her doubts and I loved that. She was strong and independent. And a great mom! I loved Rowan, she was absolutely gorgeous and she absolutely stole my heart like she stole Jess.

Jess struck me as an idiot at first. He made some wrong assumptions and I could see where he came from with those assumptions. However, when the air cleared and it showed its true colors, I loved it! I loved how he loved not only Gigi but Rowan too. He was a bit controlling and short-tempered, but he always listened to Gigi when she felt like he was crossing the line, most of the time.

I wasn’t expecting a crime thriller or romance, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Something different for me and I loved it because I happen to love a good secret! I will definitely read the other books by this great author!
