TUCKER book is a standalone read with a happy ending. There are LOTS of sexy scenes and colorful language if that’s a problem for you. This book confused me a bit. The family is described as being very similar to the Kennedys. A big family, many brothers, cousins etc.

Money to spend and each member has a ton. Men are all womanizers, sexy, smart, educated, high profile jobs, big fundraisers, expensive clothes, etc. But then they started talking like a bunch of bad, bad biker gangs from the worst part of town. I just couldn’t see them as politicians, but as talkers like bad bikers. Men used women and then cast them aside. Any other word was bullshit.

I’m not a prude, but that was too much. It was like it was the only word they knew, so they kept using it. It really must be too much. It really dragged the story down for me. With better vocabulary, they could have made a better impression and the Kennedys would have been easier to spot. Even Tucker’s love interest needed better vocabulary. His family ran a bar, so the language was easier to accept.

We kept hearing about the wealth of the Simon family, their houses, their positions etc. but then they spoke like a sailor who has been at sea for 6 years. That really ruined the story.

Now the story was good. Tucker’s wife’s plane crashed 3 years ago. He was devastated and didn’t think he was going to get out of there. No one really knew they had a huge argument the night before they left. They left it unresolved. They haven’t been married long.

He loved her and wanted to spend a few years just with the two of them, traveling and enjoying life. I wanted to have children immediately. So she went off the pill and got pregnant. He was angry when she told him. She swore it was an accident, but she finally admitted she did it on purpose, so she lied to him. He went from anger to guilt and withdrew into himself. His whole family worried about him.
He met Abby at the local bar where she worked to help her family.

Over the course of the year, she began to fall in love with him, but he was still involved with his dead wife. One night he tells her he needs a date for a big family wedding. The family is involved in their business and tries to keep it going. She agrees to go with him to make her believe that she is finally starting dating. He doesn’t know that she is in love with him, but she knows that he is still in love with his late wife.

The news reaches the US and all newspapers. Little does he know how much his life will change. This is a good story if you just ignore the language issue. A good story that I definitely recommend
