Can I give you all the hearts? I loved this book and didn’t want to put it down or finish it. I hadn’t read the previous three books, but I have to! I love the McQuaid family! Ivy is the only sister surrounded by several brothers who fiercely protect her. But Ivy is full of style, strength and determination. She will go her own way and choose what she wants in life. Which of course leads to her dressing up as a cowboy and competing in cowboy rodeo-type competitions.

I loved the scenes where Ivy was competing. She was great! She made me cheer her up and smile at her antics and her strength. There is only one thing that can throw her off balance (not really throw her off balance, but catch her off guard because she won’t let anything get in the way of her).

And that one thing is… Jericho Bliss. Oh my! You guys, the sparks between these two flew like crazy. But of course they’re too busy pretending there’s nothing left but their old friendship. If only they opened their eyes, they would see the sparks surrounding them!

I loved the chemistry between the two. And it was so much fun to read his jokes. They are both very intelligent and try to protect themselves so they don’t miss out on the best thing that ever happened to them… each other.

Ivy and Jericho will experience some fun situations. I laughed at a lot of those scenes with these two. The scratches they are in were too good! And not only did I laugh, but I definitely passed out. Be still my heart! Just open your eyes!

There is an element of mystery and suspense when Jericho works and tries to solve a mystery. I tried to figure it out through an elimination process right next to Jericho. I bounced around as various clues were left for the reader, but I enjoyed the journey of detective work.

If you’re like me and haven’t read the previous books, you can jump right into this one and enjoy it. The author did a great job of filling in what’s relevant for readers to enjoy Ivy’s story for themselves. But keep in mind that she will probably also be like me in that she will go back and read them and wait patiently for the next brother book to come out!

Content: clean. A few moments of danger. A sweet romance with kisses and nothing more. This book is a Christian novel, so it talks about God, but it was very well done and didn’t seem preachy. It fit perfectly with the times and the way people live, think and act.

Falling for the Cowgirl is the riveting fourth installment in the wonderful Colorado Cowboys series. This series has become one of my favorites and I was looking forward to Ivy’s story. I love the McQuaid family and Ivy has held a special place in my heart since the beginning of the series.

Strong-willed, fiercely independent, and a bit boisterous, Ivy gets into all sorts of “mischief,” much to the chagrin of her brothers Flynn, Wyatt, and Brody and her old friend Jericho. When Ivy and Jericho reunite after a two-year absence, sparks fly! They must admit their feelings for each other and overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of their future together.

The fast-paced, action-packed story coupled with captivating and memorable characters grab your attention and keep you reading! The sizzling but clean romance with plenty of suspense and awkward moments is delightfully entertaining.

I particularly appreciate the significant spiritual truths that flow into the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it, along with the series, especially to fans of historical Christian romance. I am eagerly awaiting the last book in the series, which is the story of long lost brother Dylan.
