Let me be real for a second. I read Smokey Darling over the weekend and absolutely LOVED it so I grabbed Latte Darling as soon as she launched without a second thought. I didn’t pay attention to the description, so when I started I thought it would be a cute story where the young son of a single boy searches for cats to find his father’s girlfriend.

He was so wrong and so happy! Maddie was raised on a first date only for her parents to show up to explain that she was being raised by her 20 year old son (who lied about her age). Axel tried to do the right thing, but he wasn’t counting on his instant attraction to Maddie. He knows right away that she is too young for him and decides not to pursue anything.

Seeing Maddie’s reaction to her attraction to Axel was everything. I don’t read many age differences and now I’m going to ask for some recommendation. The chemistry between these two, I feel like my Kindle was steaming in places.

Their love story touches on a lot of touchy topics that I think have been well covered. SJ Tilly is definitely a one click writer for me now with this series and her horrible series. Her books will make you laugh (a lot), cry and maybe unlock a problem or two

After loving and also finishing Smoky Darling earlier this year, Latte Darling became one of my the most anticipated reads of the this year! I started reading right away and really couldn’t stop! I was glued to my Kindle and desperately needed to finish it in one fell swoop. When I say I loved this book, I mean I loved every word and every page turn.

Maddie and Axel absolutely wowed me from start to finish! These two enter each other’s lives in one of the most memorable ways I’ve ever read. Can these two give in to their attraction and open their hearts too?

Maddie is one of the nicest, strongest, and cutest characters I’ve ever read. She adored her SO much and I definitely want to be best friends with her! Axel with his protective instincts and his dirty mouth made me pass out HARD! My God, she was not ready for this man! These two and their story reminded me why I love reading because every emotion I feel is powerful and worth it. Maddie and Axel were EVERYTHING!!

Get the real deal with these two! Her story showed what it means to appreciate things in life and how taking risks can put you on the right path! The way I could visualize everything so vividly, from the bean bag, the characters and their houses to the food and coffee, I felt like I was with them!

To say I was over the moon to be back at Darling Lake would be a huge understatement! Darling Lake and its characters have my heart and I never want it back. Plus, I’ll never think of coffee or sweats again without thinking of this book!

With Latte Darling, Mrs. Tilly has created such an amazing and memorable read that it made me blush and faint. The way that Mrs. Tilly uniquely captures reality, steam, emotion, and heart is one of the many things that made this book one of my favorite and top reads of the year! All the Stars for Latte Darling!!

If you are S.J. Tilly’s words before: Don’t walk around picking your own copy of this beauty! Trust me, you do NOT want to miss Maddie and Axel! They will warm up your Kindle and bring all the joy to your book-loving soul! All I know is that these two will steal everyone’s hearts, just like they did mine!
