Oh Penelope Sky how much you were missed!! This book has just set the tone for this new series. And it started with a bang! The title fits perfectly to describe the book, you can’t decide who you love or hate more.
Camille, running from Grave, a previous client, became obsessed, ran away and no longer wanted to be in this profession or environment, looking for something close to her heart. And she is a determined and strong-willed woman.
When the situation doesn’t work out, she seeks the help of an old acquaintance who only offers a name that could help protect her.
Caldero, a diamond dealer, self-made billionaire who makes his own rules, goes after what he wants despite being a cold, very calculating person who also doesn’t stop getting what he wants. Everything is done with a purpose.
These two are day and night. Things weren’t pleasant when they met, but a common ally brought them to an agreement. The dynamic between them was off the charts. Camille’s scathing comments and replies and Cauldron’s failure to respond with silence speaks volumes. The chemistry is amazing what happens to them.
I can’t even begin to express how great this book was, the drama, the angst. Everything you want in a book is in this story. There aren’t enough words to commend Penelope for another incredible masterpiece!!!
