This book was a fantastic read! I expected one thing and definitely got something different but in the best way! I really enjoyed Lola and Christian’s dynamic and relationship. I loved that they were both a bit broken, not looking for a relationship, and had some pretty solid reasons why they shouldn’t be together, but they just couldn’t help it.
Lola was fun. She had a great personality, she was confident (most of all) and I loved how much of her heart she put into her work and the people around her. His love for his niece made me as happy as his love for Christian. Christian was definitely grumpy and used to getting his way. He was a great character who just didn’t know how to have it all and had a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. Thinking he could only rely on himself, it was fun watching him interact and face the challenge that Lola is.
I liked them together. I loved watching them pull each other out of their shells. And I liked his passion! There is drama taking place in the background of this story which I felt reinforces the plot and once I started this book I didn’t want to put it down because I just didn’t know what was going to happen next.

I enjoyed this story which engages the reader with the trajectory of the story and is entertained not only by the main characters but also by the supporting characters. Every book I’ve read by Mrs. Bloom makes me laugh. The only thing that stood out to me was a few transitions in the story and maintaining the integrity of the story.
For example, if I’ve violated an NDA, there are no second chances and I’ll leave it at that. All in all it was a great read… Nice job!
