Where the light of love shines…

A pasture of dead trees. A hostile takeover of the Santa’s barn by a family of the raccoons. And shows that have mysteriously disappeared. Lovelight Farms is really not the magical winter wonderland of the Stella Bloom’s dreams.

To save the Christmas tree farm she has loved since childhood, she enters a competition with famous influencer Evelyn St. James. With the extra publicity and the $100,000 cash prize, she was able to save the farm from its financial woes. There’s only one problem. To make the farm look like a romantic vacation destination, she lied in the application, saying she owned Lovelight Farms with her boyfriend. Only… there is no friend.

Enter best friend Lukas Peters. He just came home for a hot chocolate and somehow landed a farm and a serious girlfriend in the process.

Lovelight Farms is a romantic comedy about a handsome and freckled data analyst, an upbeat and messy Christmas tree farm owner, and a small town with the best hazelnut lattes on the east coast. This sweet, steamy romance has a happy ending.

It is the first book in a series of linked standalone books following the three owners of Lovelight.

It’s easy to see why this friends to lovers romance is so popular: it’s absolutely stunning and BEAUTIFUL, with a great family feel and a cast of fascinating characters. He also adored the hero who was obviously head over heels in love with his girl from the moment he met her. There are TONS of moments that made me swoon… which made me even more frustrated that the heroine was so clueless.

The only person who didn’t know these two were getting together was her, and that led to MANY moments where I wanted to shake her up. I’m not really a lover girl though so maybe that’s your problem lol. The good news is that there were so many other things I loved about the story that (almost) made up for my frustration. It’s an outstanding debut, building a series that promises to be incredibly touching and endearing, and just a tad sexy.

Lovelight Farms story is about Stella, a woman who bought a Christmas tree farm about a year ago. She loves everything, but a series of problems has brought her into serious financial difficulties. When Stella gets the chance to compete for a social media influencer’s cash prize and media exposure for the farm, she jumps at the chance. But she also claims that she runs the farm with her boyfriend Luka.

The only problem? Luka is actually her best friend, the man who has supported her for the past nine years. Sure, Stella might wish Luka was her boyfriend, but he’s become too important to her to cross that line; You can’t risk losing it. When Luka agrees to be her fake boyfriend, Stella is unsure of the impact it will have on their relationship.

I’m not the biggest fan of Friends of Lovers but I’ve heard so many good things about this series that I’ve decided to start over – my first attempt at reading Book 2 was unsuccessful because I didn’t like this one had read yet. . So I already knew I would have mixed feelings about the Stella and Luka dynamics, which I definitely did. They’ve basically been in an intimate relationship for the past nine years, they’ve just never shared titles or crossed that physical line.

So it frustrated me that they were still dating other people at the time; they both seemed too immersed in it to go with anyone else. I fully understood why they chose the path of friends instead of lovers: Stella was mourning when they met, and Luka knew the time was not right. The fact that they were still in the same place nine years later drove me crazy, as did Stella’s reluctance to do anything about her feelings. But I am so me. Other than that, I liked almost everything else about the book, especially the boys, which is great news for the rest of the series.

The found family aspect that ties the series together is very well done and I look forward to reading some of the other love stories centered around this group. Not only is the atmosphere charming and breathtaking, but there’s a hidden depth beneath the light-hearted story. Love fan friends will probably enjoy this installment the most, but I recommend it as an introduction to the series.
