She is lucky to have all her babies and grandchildren under one roof. Even though it’s Christmas, they can’t escape a hockey chat. Ellie and Shelli definitely have different perspectives on a next-gen killer kid. There are definitely some big next-gen surprises in store, but while this is a feel-good holiday book, Toni remains authentic throughout all updates. What I liked most about this book was the potential for some books to come. I can’t wait for Quinn’s book. I have a feeling your book will blow up all the others. I was super excited when this surprise book was released and if you love the other Assassins books you will want to read this one ASAP.
If you have read ALL the other Nashville Assassins books written before this one, you will recognize all of the characters mentioned in this book. I personally LOVE books about families and follow each character on their journey. Toni Aleo has the gift of making you feel all the emotions in her books; Love, friendship, anger, empathy to name a few. Since the books are about a family and each character’s struggles, challenges and life experiences such as Even if you’re not a hockey fan, which I admit I didn’t know about until I read Toni’s books, you’ll love her books.
Because of this series, I now really enjoy reading books about ice hockey players. It’s always sad to see the end of a series and when I saw that Toni had written a Christmas book about these family members and some of their friends this year I couldn’t wait to read it. As with most of her books, once I start reading them I don’t put them down until I’m done. Happy New Year to all!
