Shifter God is the first book in Meg’s new Shifter War series, Vampire Orders. And it’s not what she expected. At first I thought this was just another rejected couple story, and while that’s one aspect of the story, it’s only a fraction of it.
The world was visited by two of the four horsemen of the apocalypse and divided into territories of humans, shapeshifters, wizards, and vampires. See, it’s not what you’d expect
Our heroine Pip has lost her whole memory and also running for her life. She doesn’t even know who or what she is. But she is definitely more than she seems. The wizards want her dead. The shapeshifters love her because she is “one of them”. And the Vampires… The Alpha Heir is her mate and the Vampire God… There are so many questions that need to be answered.
I can’t wait to see where this series takes me.
I really enjoyed Pip’s story. She has no filter and an inner strength that made me support her from start to finish.
Having said that, I have to say that the blurb doesn’t really reflect the story we got and that disappointed me a bit. That said, I’m also looking forward to all the possibilities in the next book, especially after this ending. I definitely need more of Marlowe right now.
I’m also not sure about my feelings towards Sideburns: I don’t know if I’d like her to redeem herself or not (although I’m not inclined at the moment, she’s definitely not Pip-worthy at the moment). I like Shade and her relationship with Pip, as well as her other friends.
There is a world of potential for this series and the next book won’t be out soon enough.
I loved this story about the cheeky wolf shapeshifter Pip. She doesn’t accept anything from anyone and tells it like it is. So what if an alpha heir wants her to be his concubine while he marries his princess? After years of being tortured and losing her memory, the last thing Pip will do is give in to someone!
At the academy she has her friends besides Shade. But some vampires and wizards are after Pip and she doesn’t know why. However, she continues to dream of the vampire god and he tells her that he is coming for her girlfriend.
She realizes that her former alpha heir will not take no for an answer and will never let her go. She gets the handsome vampire god to free them from their prison. read hot.
Pip is special but she doesn’t know why she knows she is being chased. She escaped and is found by shapeshifters who take over the city in disgust at her. Jared is a jerk, Pip is her fateful partner and treats her like shit. He thinks that he can keep her aside because of her politics while he is married to someone else. But she gets stronger every day after all the .back magic left her. Shade and Danielle become friends with her but she wants to leave to save them and she rejects Jared and now he is getting weak for properly rejecting him. She now she awaits the second breath of the book.
