You can read this book entirely on its own, but I also loved the other books in this series. This story is about Texas and Maya. The two have known each other since they were alive. He is his brother’s best friend in the world and has always seen her as little sister and nothing more. However, she has been in love with him for as long as she can remember.

As time goes by and she realizes he’ll never care about her that much, she decides it’s time to protect her own heart. Texas is an amazing and in-demand tattoo artist. They work really hard to get your business up and running. However, he also feels that something is missing and maybe he really needs someone in his life. After all, his best friend Cody and Ruin have settled down and seem to love him.

Why shouldn’t I love him too? If so, who really would be the perfect woman? Or it was right under his nose the whole time and he never took the time to notice. I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved that we learned about Texas history and that we got to see some familiar faces too. I fell so in love with these two characters and the story they have to tell is just amazing. I loved every second.
Oh god, it seems like a blink of an eye, Maya was anything but a little boy! I still remember picking up and consuming the story of Talon and Zara. Even now it’s still a favorite. I’m an OG fanatic.

Texas was blind to Maya for a hot minute. He was young and stupid, and frankly the boy went about his business as young people do.
I didn’t give that to him. This life experience, these moments, have made him the man he is here.
Oh, and I loved that man. Full of loyalty, love and sweetness.

Maya is the perfect combination of mom and dad. Strong and sweet with just the right amount of cheekiness. She is forever in love with Texas. I don’t blame her, and I loved that she didn’t just jump and fall for her charms. She did it. She knew her worth.

These couples are. The friendship is the sweetest and the chemistry, although there from the start, is perfectly built… the tension is everything. I loved fighting the train and being sneaky with his train. It was a sweet AF. They just worked. They made me happy and Lord, the slow burn made me nervous.

I admire all the characters and the crazy person who moves between them. Everything from nosy family and friends to wacky bickering and hilarious pranks. They always make me laugh and love a lot.

This is a sweet sweet romance even if it’s MC even if there is a bit of heartbreak at first this one definitely gives you all the good vibes and I was here for that.
