THE BEACH HOUSE is an independent read with a happy ending. There are no sex scenes or colorful language so all ages can read and enjoy. It’s a love story, a new love, but it’s more the story of a 43-year-old woman starting her life all over again. Married for 21 years with two grown daughters alone, he is almost retired, sold his big house and plans to move into a beach cabin and spend the rest of his life doing his thing and enjoying life.

She is late and then tells him that she is moving out. He is in love with another person and has been with her for 2 years and they have a son. His world is collapsing. She had no idea what was going on. She very quickly organizes the sale of the house so that they share the money and has started the divorce proceedings. She has no idea what hit her, but now she’s mad.

But after a long pity party, she packs up her things and uses half the money from the house to buy a cabin on a small island off the coast of South Carolina. When she arrives, she finds a cabin in very poor condition. She can’t even spend the night there. She is devastated. What did you do? Your money is running out, the house is a mess, and things could get worse.

She drives around the island to see if she can find a small B&B for the night. She luckily finds a small place. She organizes a room and a sandwich for the night. Dawson owns the B&B. With his hands on his head he explains all her miserable problem. He tells her that she can help with the cabin. This is how a friendship begins. Day by day she gets stronger, feels better, learns to live in her land and be happy. Then her mom shows up with a sister he’s had nothing but trouble with and ends up leaving her there.

This is not the last surprise that she will experience. The hospital in Boston calls to tell her that her husband (pending divorce) had a terrible accident and is in the hospital. As his wife, they need her to make the medical decisions for him. and then his pretty fiancée leaves him in the hospital with a… Sorry, I can not do this.

Oh man, that poor lady has bad karma. I loved this story It was today and it could be someone we all know. It is a story of learning to fend for oneself. Learning to see another side of the story. Develop a backbone and move on with your lives. This is a very good read. I found it very entertaining and can only recommend it.
