Anton Szandor LaVey (born in Howard Stanton Levey; From April 11, 1930 – October 29, 1997) was an American author, musician, and a Satanist. He was the founder of Church of Satan and religion of Satanism. He is the author of several books including The Satanic Bible, The Satanic Witch, The Satanic Rituals, The Devil’s Notebook and Satan Speaks! He has also released three albums including The Satanic Mass, Satan Takes a Holiday and Strange Music. Laveyan Satanism is an atheist philosophy that tells you it’s okay to indulge your ego and your sexual affairs (if it doesn’t affect anyone else). The book is divided into three parts: the book of Satan, Lucifer, Belial and Leviathan. In my opinion, the first two parts of the book are a masterpiece that sort of (I would think) have words to live your life by as opposed to Christianity, which tells you to hold back your emotions as much as it can detrimental to the minds of followers. and emotional health.
My favorite quote from the Book of Hell is “To love another”, it has been said that this is the supreme law, but did power make it so? On what rational authority is the gospel of love based? Why shouldn’t I hate my enemies? If I ‘love’ them, I’m not at their mercy” (Lavey 32), only poetically. I would give this book a perfect 5/5 were it not for the ritual aspect that dominates the book of Belial and Leviathan; in the introduction, written by Lavey’s son, he said this book may not be exclusively for “atheists, misanthropes, humanists and freethinkers.
Getting a degree is science, but sometimes I’ve even poked fun at how ridiculous sexual rituals can be.
