Who am I?

I forgot the answer to that question a long time ago. Ever since I ran out of this house to escape, I’ve only walked with my clothes on my back and socks on my feet. Since that day I have only walked in stolen shoes.

Could it be a girl looking for the meaning of life in faceless men? You were all so unforgettable. until he came He led me under a waterfall and made me forget my name and in return I took his.

Enzo Vital.

An enigmatic man who will only love the depths of the sea. Or rather, the predators that inhabit it. It turns out he’s not all that different from the monsters he feeds. He lured me into his boat like a fish in an ocean to seek revenge for my crime. If I had realized his intentions and that a big storm was about to wreck us, I would have run.

What a unique and addictive story! It was so intense that it literally brought me to the edge of my seat, biting my nails in anticipation and gasping for breath at every shocking moment thrown at me. I sure thought my heart was going to explode but no, it was just my panties! I’ve never read anything like it and am fascinated by the emotional impact the story had on me. It was an immersive, exciting, and depraved roller coaster ride that never wanted to end.

The characters were completely off the rails and gave me a new twist to digest and seriously ponder. I mean, it was definitely sexy, extremely crazy, and incredibly erotic. You will know what I am talking about once you have read the book. One scene, okay, maybe there are two scenes (you’ll know when you read them) that had my body so tense that I didn’t know if I should be horrified at what I was reading, angry at what, what actually happened. right before my eyes or just drift into the deliciously exhilarating experience.

The images and the weaving of words left me speechless. It was very poetic at times and very moving at other times, which kept me fully immersed in the strange and unusual journey of Enzo and Sawyer. These two made me laugh (Sawyer is quite hilarious with her verbal diarrhea) and melted a huge puddle of slime over Enzo’s filthy, demeaning mouth and held my breath together in some of their highly erotic moments.

This story was brilliantly written with incredible moments of pain, anger, passion and love so much it just oozed from the pages. The story was very scary at times and I was blown away by the ending. So many WTF moments that had me flipping through the pages to see what the heck might happen next.

I loved everything about this story! It was an amazing, exciting and extremely fun experience.

TW: Suicidal thoughts, mentions of abandonment, child abuse (past), intrusive thoughts, mentions of suicide, mentions of non-cheating, sexual abuse (past), Dubcon and others I may have overlooked.

Sawyer is on the run. To hide, she grabs men hoping they will invite her over to their home so she can steal her identity.

Within minutes of meeting Enzo, she knows he’s going to hate taking on his identity. Their connection was so strong, but she knows she will never see him again.

Now imagine her surprise when days later she finds him on a beach where he invites her to get on his boat. Unbeknownst to her, Enzo knows she has assumed his identity and is angry. He’s angry that he didn’t recognize the scam for what it was, and angry at himself for wanting just one more sample from Sawyer anyway.

Enzo, a shark expert/marine biologist (let’s say he’s a water pro), gets caught up in his revenge plan and makes a terrible mistake by not checking the weather. This results in the ship being shipwrecked on an island in the middle of the ocean and stranded in a derelict, probably definitely haunted lighthouse, with a caretaker who may have more intentions than the evil as he implied.

There’s something about Haley’s books that absolutely won me over, that she digs into my psyche and writes them specifically just for me. She can take my biggest fears and put them on paper and make me anxious and horny all at once lmao

This whole book leaves you with an unsettling feeling. It wasn’t just the atmosphere that was unsettling, the fact that you’re stuck on an island surrounded by sharks, with one man who hates you and isn’t afraid to show/tell you and another who has been in isolation and trying for years to make you stay scared goes through the roof.

As the story progresses, Sawyer and Enzo must unravel some mysteries while dealing with their intense feelings for each other. I would classify FAST as a gangster novel. The spice in it was ridiculous. It was cruel, sneaky and very hot. I love him so much. Enzo’s Italian also swooned.

God I wish I could talk more about this because there is so much to unpack.

Aside from the fact that not much more can be said without spoilers, so I’ll leave it at that: if you don’t like dark, kinky romance or darker themes, then this book isn’t for you.
