All this time you have been waiting for some mystical being to deliver your letter to the witch school, hoping that an owl or maybe a black cat will be the messenger. I am very surprised to learn that invitations are sent through Maia Toll.

Night school is a series of exercises performed at a slow pace. These cover all sorts of topics from alchemy, astrology, the elements, divination, and lots of self-reflection. The exercises are quite accessible and I like that it can take a day or three to complete a lesson and as long as it takes to work your way through the book. You’ll want to devour it, but the lessons are great for sitting back and pondering.

I’ve read the other reviews of this book so far and I don’t agree that there isn’t a lot of information. I found a great depth of knowledge and the beauty of a lot of this is that you have to take the time to come to the knowledge that is offered here. The book is a lot of fun to flip through, but you’ll miss out on some great gems hidden within. Maia strikes a great balance between exploring the world of feeling and the world of hard facts in a way that makes writing appealing to all kinds of people.

I will say that if you are not interested in witchcraft at all, you may not like this book. However, if you’re curious about the boundary between fantastical quirks and hard truths, you’re likely to get a lot out of it.

I’ve heard from many people in the witchcraft community who want to feel more connected to their craft, this book is fantastic for that purpose. You’ll be ready to bubble something up in the metaphorical cauldron of this experience.

My only disappointment is that I was hoping to see more astronomy in class, maybe I’ll get lucky and get a constellation based degree from her in the future.
