I knew from the first page that I was going to have a good time, but I didn’t know how much I was going to enjoy this book and the reading process, and I certainly didn’t know that I had found a new favorite author.

At Hello Beautiful we start with William. William was born into a family that suffered a great loss. And it’s only in the first few pages with William that we get to know him in everything he’s not, rather than what he is. It’s an interesting way to build a character.

In the next chapter we meet Julia and all that she is and what she has. She is a lot, she has a lot. Especially the things that William doesn’t do. She has a close and loving family, and she has a plan and the will to see it through.

William and Julia meet at university and start a wonderful life together. We follow the years as William’s past finally comes to light and what brought them together threatens to drive them apart.

I read them at the end of 2022 and had to book this review for over six months. It was torture. It was one of the best books I’ve read in the last year and I can’t wait for you to read it. It would be a great book club pick as there would be a lot to talk about. I imagine readers on opposite sides of imaginary lines arguing their point of view. And both would be right. That is the beauty of this book.

Let’s talk about what I especially liked about him.

The 1 thing that I loved and also noticed was the sentence structure. There is a pattern in the structure that creates a rhythm that increases the pleasure of reading. Basically, it’s very easy to read.

The second thing that I loved is what I noticed earlier. I loved how William was built as a character. His pages felt empty. Like leaving a part of me with him on every page. At the beginning there is a scene where William describes a moment with a teacher. This passage says a lot about William and his lens for viewing and interacting with his world.

The third thing that I loved was the amount of emotions it aroused in me. I can’t remember the last time I was mad at a fictional character. It’s been six months and I still don’t agree with some of the character choices.

While this was a five star read for me, I’d like to point out just how critical the writing is. These characters are wonderfully flawed, and the storytelling was severe in correcting, regardless of character. This can lead to a lack of empathy for the characters and their situation. It didn’t affect me much, but I think readers should know it’s coming.

HELLO BEAUTIFUL will be released on March 14, 2023 and I highly recommend it.

Hello Beautiful is a beautiful story about family, love and finding yourself. It is a complex and well-written story about a person’s need to connect in love.

William Waters grew up without the attention and love of his parents. In search of companionship, William turns to basketball, which brings him friends and a scholarship to college, where he meets Julia Padavano. Julia is one of the four Padavano sisters; the eldest, Julia is strong and determined, Sylvie lives by the books and hopes for a happy life afterward, Caroline is artistic and direct, and Emeline is loving and motherly.

These four women welcome William into their family, but darkness soon descends, love and loyalty will be tested, and years apart will see if the ties that have held them so close in the past are stronger than they thought. I could hurt them in the present.

Hello Beautiful was slow going for me and it took me a while to figure out if I liked the book or not. About halfway through what I read, I found myself crying and inadvertently realizing that I had bonded with the characters and their lives. Each character has a complexity that made it hard for me to decide whether to like them or not, but in retrospect made them more real.

I wish the beginning of the Hello Beautiful book would go a little faster as I see some give up before they get a chance to really get to know the characters, but by the time I was done I was fully invested in what is going on with each of them. . is.
The strength of the relationships in this book is incredible.

With two sisters, I understood the invisible bonds the Padavano sisters felt with each other and how their need to be together, even when hurt, felt right. I loved how William learned to accept his love over time, even though his parents never taught him that. I loved the brotherly love we see between Kent, William and Arash and that blood or marriage wasn’t the only way to start a family.

I also think that the pain that William and the sisters expressed in their fights felt incredibly real. William hides his depression so well that the words written in the margins of his book give it away. Each sister experiences fear and pain, but each hides it in different ways so as not to hurt herself.

I urge those who are on the fence about Hello Beautiful book to give it a try and don’t give up if it’s slower than expected. The more he progressed in his reading, the more he thought about the characters and appreciated what he read.
